Over the years, people wrote a lot of couraging and
inspiring poetry or texts. I want to share these with
you as well. If you have any additions, please let me

One night a man had a dream.
He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scenes, he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand;
one belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints.
He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest
and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he questiones the Lord about it
"Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you,
you’d walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why when I needed you the most you would leave me."

The Lord replied,
"My precious, precious child.
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

I Asked God…

I asked God for Strength…
And He gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked God for Wisdom…
And He gave me problems to solve.

I asked God for Prosperity…
And He gave me brain and brawn to work.

I asked God for Courage…
And He gave me danger to overcome.

I asked God for Love…
And He gave me troubled people to help.

I asked God for Favors…
And He gave me opportunities.

I received nothing I wanted…
And I received everything I needed.

The Cross In My Pocket

I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may be

The little cross has no magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn’t meant to protect me
From every physical harm

It’s not for identification
For all the world to see
It’s simply an understanding
Between my saviour and me

When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or key
The cross is there to remind me
Of the price He payed for me

It reminds me too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and say

It`s also a daily reminder
Of the peace and comfirt I share
With all who know my Master
And give theselves to His care

So, I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I’ll let him be
