Note: I forgot to put my camera in a specific setting, so now it did some corrections: it really was a bit darker outside than you see on the first pictures.

And I’m glad you all liked my carrot picture. You all rock. maureen: I’m glad my carrot brightened up your day. Tiffany: I know it’s a root, but I just don’t like things growing out of my food. Rozette: what else than leaves could it be? mold? dee: The votes are going like crazy. Bottom three turns to top three and vice versa. I’m glad Jasmine Trias and George Huff are still in the game, though. Emily. Cezanne: it’s vegetables, go it eat. Desktops as in wallpapers? Too much work. Oh wait, you want a carrot desktop, don’t you? Stacy: I guess we do.

In the category “random places I go,” here’s a picture of a trainstation. Nyah.

Wierd, one of the classes for next semester, which is a mandatory class in the course traject, got cancelled. Even if it’s cancelled, we still get the credit for it. It was a weird class anyway. It was more like a guided self reflective talk group thing.

I went to Vanessa’s (a friend I got to know while I was still at the TUDelft University) singing performance. It was fun to see my friends again. The live acousting performance was great. A couple of names I remembered were Saskia and Andrea, they were awesome as well. And I think one of the other girls would never even pass the Idols/American Idol pre-selection, she sang pretty off-tune. Which was horrid to listen to. But all the others were pretty good, to really awesome!

Some things never last

I forgot to put this picture up at easter. I didn’t want to wait another year before I could this picture online, so I’ll just do it now, hehe. Even if it isn’t easter anymore. Even if these chocolate easter eggs are long gone. I think the title of this post is a bit too melancholic, for a trivial post as this one .

I’ll just do another Idol update:

Idols: This isn’t going anywhere. My two favorite Dutch idols are Irma and Boris, as they are the best vocalists of the 10 original idols. But now that Irma is voted off, it’s not that much fun watching anymore. It’s too obvious who’s going to win. Marlies, Maud, Ron, JK, Boris, Irma, Erik, Alice, Meike, Robin.

American Idol: Wow, last show was great. And holy moly, the result show was pretty shocking. The top group… Wew. And Jasmine was in there, . Amy Adams, Camile Velasco, Diane DeGarmo, Fantasia Barrino, George Huff, Jasmine Trias, Jennifer Hudson, John Stevens, Jon Peter Lewis, La Toya London, Leah LaBelle, Matthew Rogers.

Copycat

Last week, I happened to stumble upon someone’s website. The part that least bothered me was that he used some of my designs. The part that did (and still does) bother me is that he used my trademarked name SyndiCube (my design label) as his own. He even says he made it up himself, while it’s obvious that he visit my site before and used a lot of elements for his own site.

I now sent a complaint and a cease and desist request to the owner of the offending domain.

Copied Creativity?

He even writes “Presenting a world of laughter, love, and creativity one blog at a time.” on his website. But what is creativity when you take that creativity from someone else? Don’t get me wrong, though: I wouldn’t mind inspiration, I absolutely don’t mind my site being an inspiration for other people or other sites. But taking things from someone else, and pretending they’re your own is NOT creative.

Edit: The owner of the site replied in an e-mail and a friend of his replied in the comments. Thus this matter is now being discussed with the owner of the site.

And you people have really weird candles, if you think the thing from my previous post is a candle. But a lot of people guessed right anyway, it’s a cap of a toothpaste tube. On my carpet. I just thought it’d be funny to make a closeup of something and to make it look really weird or interesting. So, there ya go.

Okay, I almost wrote “wird” instead of “word.” But they almost sound the same anyway.

100% wooden guitar

When my parents returned from their vacation recently, they brought me this little carved wooden guitar. It has like a little compartment within it, but the compartment is totally useless. So it’s just a nice piece of decoration. In the background is another shot of my bass guitar, and on the left side you can see part of the amplifier.

Needles

I was just vaccinated for hepatitis A and B, all in one injection though. So my left upper arm feels like it has a muscle ache. I don’t really mind injections in general, but this is ofcourse not something you get every day. So I was a tiny little bit nervous, but it was done in a few seconds anyway. A second injection is in 4 weeks…
