Big cathedral

Taken: 3 February 2007, Paris, France.

Here’s another Paris landmark.
I went with Suk, Febe and James.
So glad the weather was beautiful.
Cold, but the skies were clear.

Join me in this quick tour through Paris.
More Notre Dame next…

Awesome church building

Église Saint-Laurent / St. Laurent Church

Years ago, I visited Italy.
I remember visiting lots and lots of different cathedrals there.
At the time, I thought we saw too many.

Now this church in Paris.
I think it looks awesome.
The church I go to, the Maranatha Church Vlaardingen, is a boring building.
Like, a straight forward, boring church building.
[But a great church building nevertheless.]
But I wouldn’t mind if my church would look like this church in Paris.
This awesome church in Paris, France.

And today is a Sunday.

Waiting

Taken: 2 February 2007, Paris, France.

Mr. Jean-Paul waited.
Waited before the stop sign.
Before the stop sign turned green.
So he could walk.
So he could walk again.
Walk to the other side.
The other side of the road.
He waited.
Although he is probably not Jean-Paul.

I’m waiting.
Waiting to buy a Nintendo Wii.
But the Nintendo Wii is sold out.
Sold out everywhere.
So I’m waiting.
Still waiting.

The largest two toy stores here are already preparing the PS3 launch. They even have sweepstakes: you can win a PS3. I’m sure there are people who want it. But my opinion is that they should have sweepstakes for the Wii. Screw the PS3.

Movement

Taken: 2 February 2007, Paris, France.

I like taking night shots.
I still want to shoot one of those highway pictures.
One of those pictures with the white and red lines.
The white and red lines being the cars’ lights.
But somehow, I’ve never been able to get to that yet.
What do you still need to get to?

Lemon Cake

Taken: 10 February 2007, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

I was proud when I made this lemon cake.
Its recipe was insanely comprehensive.
But I managed and victory was gained!
Doesn’t it look yummy? And it actually was!

One Snow Day / Spring Festival

Taken: 8 February 2007, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Although not an ideal picture, I still wanted to share this snow picture.
Last week was the only real day on which snow fell from the skies.

Spring Festival

And today marks the day of the start of Spring Festival, also called Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year. So happy new year everyone, hope everyone of you will eat a lot today.

Sleeping

Taken: 12 February 2007, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Cat loves sleeping in weird positions.
Purring cats are awesome.
Meowing cats are annoying.
Cats that don’t meow are broken.

Taken: 2 February 2007, Paris, France.

The joke that the French call the illustration of the bicycle “Bus” is not generally well received.

Rabbits Beware

Taken: 4 February 2007, Paris, France.

According to the sign, rabbits should be beware of trapping treir hands (paws?) in the doors.
So, rabbits should be careful when taking the metro in Paris.
Or are they referring to humans? Do they always refer to the French people as rabbits?
Or are they insulting all the non-French people by calling them pink rabbits?

PS: I fixed the download buttons on the Goodies page, so get the Nokia mobile phone themes that I created. Just for you. Yes.

Sasha: I like the word you used: Snooty Parisians. Spot on.
MC: Nope, I’m not on Flickr.
Aline: Mon Français est très mauvais.

Avenue des Champs Élysées

Taken: 3 February 2007, Paris, France.

I wanted to make a picture of this street name.
So these two kind people where kind enough to wait, so they wouldn’t be in the picture.
I guess that is the curse of using wide angle lenses.
