Out of Ink

Not sure if it are the genes.
Not sure if it was something its mom ate.
Or nature was just out of ink.

Rainbow tulip

People say that colors in flowers mean something.
A different color for a different meaning, feeling. An emotion.

Passion, love, friendship.

But nature (although sometimes people happened to help it a hand) just gives the colors as is.
People are just people. Just like the saying goes: We’re only human.

But nature’s beauty… that’s something different.
I think we can all agree with that. Right?

Seeking the sun

Taken: 3 May 2008, Lisse, The Netherlands.

After a couple of weeks of good weather, the rain poured out of the skies again.

So what kind of weather is it right now where you are?
And where would you like to go to seek the sun?

Pistils

And here’s a pink tulip.
The tulip, one of the famous things from the Netherlands.

What’s famous about your country?

Tiny blue flowers

Taken: 3 May 2008, Lisse, The Netherlands.

These tiny blue flowers are maybe 5-6 mm in diameter. I wonder if the center pistil inside is as detailed as the flower I showed you yesterday (which is over 10 times the size of these tiny ones).

And yes, these pictures were taken at the Keukenhof flower park, although it’s a bit expensive to go in. Plus, it looks pretty much the same as last year. Next year, I should just take pictures in my mom’s garden.

Center of Attention

Nature is awesome. Even for something as simple as a flower, look at the amount of detail.

Exposed

Taken: 19 July 2007, Barcelona, Spain.

This was actually part of a model of the temple.
This concludes my Sagrada Família series, so far anyway.
So if you ever visit Barcelona, make sure to visit this place. It’s awesome.

More Detail

Looking through one of the windows. This window, no glass, is in a stairway. I like how it’s asymmetrical, just like almost everything else in/of the building.

Too bad the building has to be equipped with ugly air conditioners on the outside. I don’t think that’s how Antoni Gaudí intended it to be.

Towers

Yes, they’re still building the thing. I think that’s obvious. Yes, really.
